2021 FACA Annual CLE Seminar

Registration is open for the 2021 Florida Association of County Attorneys CLE Seminar in Orange County.  The CLE seminar will be a hybrid event with virtual and in-person attendance.  The CLE consists of 13 general and CCLG certification credits with 1 hour of ethics and 1 hour of technology credit being granted by the Florida Bar.

Due to the recent relaxation of COVID-19 protocols by the State of Florida and the hotel, in-person registration for this event is now capped at 125 persons socially distanced.  In-person registration is on a first come first serve basis. You can register for the event by logging into your FAC portal HERE, choose the Events tab at the top of the page and scroll down to "2021 FACA Annual CLE Seminar."  The Agenda can be viewed by clicking HERE.  While there will not be a welcome reception this year, the FACA Awards Luncheon will still take place and will feature a short presentation by Chief Administrative Law Judge Peter Antonacci, Department of Administrative Hearings.

Under FAC's hotel room booking process, hotel booking information will be sent, via email, to registrants AFTER you have registered for the seminar.  If you wish to register for the FAC Annual Conference & Education Exposition, please do so at that time as well.  This process ensures that the hotel room block remains available for seminar and/or conference registrants and will hopefully prevent the block from selling out so quickly.  The 2-night minimum DOES NOT apply for the 2021 FACA Annual CLE Seminar registrants.  The hotel rate for the FAC Conference/FACA Annual CLE Seminar will be $179.00 per night.  In case the room block is sold out at the time of registration, here is the link to the 10 closest hotels to the Orlando Convention Center/Hyatt Regency Orlando.  If you would like for your name to be added to the wait list for the Hyatt, please email Emily Anderson at eanderson@flcounties.com.

For more information regarding the Hyatt Regency Orlando, please click HERE.  The earlier you register, the better your chances are of securing a room at the host hotel.  We do not know the exact date on which the hotel block will sell out and are unable to guarantee reservations for anyone, so please REGISTER EARLYThe FAC Annual Conference will feature some exciting key-note speakers, including Joe Theismann, former NFL quarterback, as well as educational workshops all relevant to aspects of local government.

As always, there is NO registration fee for FACA members.  The fee for non-members, paralegals/legal assistants and law students/interns are as follows:

Non-Member: $195
Paralegals/Legal Assistants:$75
Law Students/Interns: $25

If you did not renew your FACA dues for 2021, please do so before registering for the CLE seminar.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Emily Anderson at eanderson@flcounties.com or 850.922.4300.
